Dusk in the Daintree Forest
The 130 million year old Daintree rainforest in Queensland, Australia is the oldest rainforest in the world.
Unique animals are found here and not found anywhere else in the world.
This recording was taken just north of the Daintree river as the day turned to dusk.
A small stream trickled through the brush where catbirds, kookaburra, lorikeets and frogs could be heard.
The dripping of rain hits the large umbrella like leaves of several plants.
Recorded with my MKH 30/40 Sennheiser microphones and sound devices 722 recorder back in the spring of 2005.
